Kili is an evil wriggling braid chomping monster on quiet snowy nights. Fili of course tries hard to be a good lad, but is fighting the laughter. Thorin knows he’s damned any second to have two giggle monsters on his hands.
Yeah I noticed it since. It's weird cause Tolkien never specifies it in The Hobbit and he keeps telling the story as if they were. After all quite a few of the company were siblings and yet these two are the ones that stand out as a "pair".
I think it might be because there isn't a big age-difference between Kili and Fili and the fact that they are both still very young But yes, it's a bit funny it's turning out as they are the only once who is like a "pair" where the others are more individuals
Yeah probably.. Still they always were my fav dwarves when I was little and they still are. Well they and Balin, I always liked him.^^ Never really liked Thorin because he was such an grumpy old fart in the books. But I quite like him in the movie.^^
I liked the development of him.. I mean, sure it turned out in the wrong direction! He turns greedy and ignorant.. But I can still feel it when I read the book and watch the movies which is what I like the most. But yeah Thorin is a lot more likable in the movie ^^ I think it is a mix between his overly hotness and the fact that the actor really have captured the "desease" of Thorin. But I have to say that Bofur from the movie is very close to my heart! He's just.. cute!
Haha yeah, but at least he did develop. Armitage definitely did a great job on the part, though I don't find him overly attractive so which on the other hand means I'm not biased about him.. so he must be good for real.
Oh, I quite forgot about Bofur, I totally agree there, he's awesome! He's sort of like someone you'd want for an uncle.
Haha good point Well, someone can be hot but suck as an actor and I myself really hope I see past hotness and into weather they are good og bad actors But yes, I honestly think that Armitage did a really good job! I can't wait to see the third movie, and like see what he can do with Thorins madness ^^
My point exactly! This goofy, happy, sweet and caring uncle! I just really love the guy!
This is adorable. I have really good memories of my uncles reading to me when I was little. I think that makes this especially appealing to me. I can also see Thorin maybe having been not as serious when he was younger, and maybe some of the mischief these two seem to get up to when they are grown might have in fact been learned from or at least encouraged by, a certain uncle...
